Gee, I can’t imagine what made me think of this today.

Also make sure to check out structured procrastination – it works for me! Kinda.

You mean when you get around to it?

It’s always a bit disturbing to run across something like this while I’m…um…
Hey, am I hungy? I think maybe I’ll see about finding some food.

Guy’s an amateur. Barely counts as procrastination at all.

oh man I was married to the King of Procrastination and together we spawned a clone…..
do you think procrastination is more common in males or is it equally distributed?

Well, men never do what’s expected from them. However I’m not sure procrastination is entirely to blame.
I’ve been quite successful procrastinator so far today. It’s 14.34, I’ve just got dressed and the washing machine is finally loaded. I’m typing this to avoid putting on the next layers of clothing (it’s -2C) and take the garbage out.
Maybe I should check if there is any masseuse available at the Spa tomorrow…

King of Procrastination, eh? Isn’t that the capital of Never-Never Land?
Well done, dq! I love ‘pj days’ myself, especially when it’s cold outside. I’ve just posted about wearing sandals today though (yay!), so no excuses. Well, that and I had a ‘special favour’ class for one of my students this morning who has an exam next week, so I could only put off getting dressed until 11am.
Mmmmm… a massage sounds totally delicious – do it!

can we frame this differently? Vonnegut wrote that humans were basically put on this earth to ‘fart around’. I think there’s something to this… rather than paint this with the negative ‘procrastination’, perhaps we are all simply experts at farting around, which is, indeed, our true purpose on earth? i should write more on that… but after the laundry is done, the jello shots are made, and the bills are paid…

No free slots until Wednesday noon, but I’ve booked now.
Just eight more procrastinating days to fill or not fill. I have a week off from work. Nothing planned (apart from Wednesday’s massage) and it’s quite lovely.
Now I must take out the garbage, I think…

Jello shots? Qu’est ce que c’est?
I actually procrastinate a lot, though I always get the stuff done in the end. I think I like the – eep! I’ve only got two minutes to get that class ready and get out of the house! – buzz. So I often tend to push deadlines to the limit.
Not quite like the late great Douglas Adams who once said – “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” 🙂

How nice to have a week off with nothing planned, dq! Well, except for the massage (very envious).
Unfortunately, taking the garbage out is something that can’t usually be left tooooo long. We have a great system going here at casa az, because Nog goes downstairs to smoke outside and often takes a bag of garbage out with him, which also gives him a nice short walk around the corner. 🙂
A few years ago they removed all the garbage bins from the streets in the centre of Sevilla and put in a new underground system – we now put our garbage bags into a ‘thingy’ and later it all gets sucked out into large trucks via the underground tunnels. But this means our garbage bags have to be quite small, so more trips. And then other trips to the recycling bins for plastic and glass. But, as I say, it’s quite good for Nog to get a bit of extra exercise while he’s out smoking.

I believe it’s my female side who procrastinates.

daisyfae, hurry up with the jello shots please
azahar, that’s an interesting way to deal with garbage. does it result in less public rubbish? our public ‘bins’ are often quite full. does it also encourage people to think more carefully about how they will dispose of packaging when they are buying stuff?

I ran across the procrastination flowchart awhile back and found it quite amusing, but this one made me blow my morning cuppa out my nose.
