Writing to you from the top of a mountain somewhere in the Algarve. Was kidnapped picked-up today by Pipocas and her husband CHUCKY (who doesn’t like having his name mentioned on blogs – this is my revenge π ) and driven up a very long and winding mountain road until I thought I was about to lose my brekky.
Nature all over the place. Meh.
Anyhow, just arrived in Cachopo (our destination for some reason) and next to the wee Museo Vivo – where they sell flax products and also show the flax-making process – I found this free internet access place! Interesting combination of high-tech inside with chickens pecking and clucking around outside the window.
Have no idea what the others are up to right now, but I know the Kidlet (P&C’s 4-year-old daughter) wants to have lunch soon so I’d better get going. I think we’re having wild boar.
Nog’s laptop can’t pick up the wifi connection at our inn, which is totally gorgeous and charming, btw, so I might not be around again till Thursday night.
Having a great time so far! Especially as we are being threatened with being taken over here for a cold beer after we get back to Tavira… π
Oh, that sounds like a great trip, clucking neigbors and all. Too bad about the general lack of internet access. I suppose the charming locale will have to compensate for the inadequate technology.

I’m just over at a cybercafe place, waiting to see what’s in store for today. It’s a bit rainy so not sure whether to stay in Tavira or go out exploring some more.
Yes, I am having LOTS of fun and eating wonderful food and enjoying lovely company … what more can a girl ask for?

This is true, dq. But I got a text message from Paula this afternoon saying that the boys are fine and that Sunny is even taking his meds! I’d prepared three teaspoons with pate and meds and left them in the fridge for Paula to attempt to give Sunny each morning – so I’m glad that’s working out. π
It was supposed to have rained here all day but we were very lucky. After brekky it cleared up and got quite sunny and warm. Had a nice lunch in town with Pipocas & family, then quite a long walk on our own. Now the skies have finally opened up (around 6.30pm) so I’m here hiding out at the cybercafe until we figure out what to do next.

Cats…
Putte manged to turn over a huge potted plant earlier this evening. I’ve vaccumed one bed, one night stand and half a bedroom due to that. Still it was just a tiny fraction of the soil that fell out.
Guess I have to continue when “daylight doth appear”, there are probably more soil and leafs left.

Ah, but you wouldn’t want to live without him, dq.
I’ve decided that when I’m away from my cats for too long I begin to ‘fade’ … today I am in serious need of some fuzz therapy.
Just waiting for P&C – will be having a last lunch here together and then catching the bus home at 4.30. It’s been a lovely trip. π
