Love the groovy zip-up carrying case too (that came as a surprise when I opened the box). It has a 10-hour battery and comes with European and UK slide-on plug options – very cool. I have it on “shuffle” now and it’s great! At 34 x 9 x 4 cm it would have easily slipped into my suitcase for the Tavira trip so we could have had music in our room. Ah well, next trip …

They’re called Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere speakers, alejna. Looking at the website I just noticed it also recharges your ipod – bonus!

It’s total madness here for an entire week, which is why I end up with a week’s ‘unpaid holidays’, since even if people wanted classes they wouldn’t be able to get anywhere near my house. I live right next to the cathedral so I’m right in the middle of it all. It was actually kind of nice to get away and not have to deal with all the crowds.

Cool – I just bought two sets for the kids b’days this spring/summer when I was in the US. One thing good about the USD being 1.5something to the Euro 🙂
Mainly, we thought it’d be good for them not to sit for longer times in their rooms with ear-plugs. Get the music out.
I’ve got an Altec Lansing InMotion myself – folds flat and small and so has travelled the globe with me.
And I listened to a Bose SoundDock in the US – man, can it play! It played up a – ermmmm – 60+ m2 room in the store, loud, without any distortions and without losing any detail, bot on rock and jazz. Wow. (And the guy at the store got the name of the Danish jazz singer I played – he liked it!)

Oooo, one of my students has one of those Bose SoundDock systems, SG V. Well, his parents do – his father is a musician so sound quality is especially important to him. I checked the price of it in Fnac and it costs almost 3 times as much as mine. Anyhow, his mother told me her 160 GB iPod is full and I was welcome to any of her music, so that ought to make up for a bit of speaker envy.
Yeah, I don’t like wearing the ear-plugs at home. Are they set to a ‘safe’ maximum volume?
