Has anyone seen the final series?
[spoiler alert! read at your own risk]
I know this is kind of old news by now, but I just finished watching the last series (known either as series 7 or series 6 1/2 – thanks again to Dan!) and it really seemed like a real cop out ending.
Unfortunately, the big surprise of the season was spoiled a few weeks ago when someone (who knew I hadn’t watched it yet) blurted out “oh, I was just so shocked when Tony killed Chris!” 
In fact, this whole half-series seemed disappointing somehow. And I’ve been a huge fan since the beginning.
What did you think of it?

Never quite cottoned on to the Sopranos – but I’ve heard so many people rave about it that I’m hoping they get round to repeating it here.
Got a memory like a hen these days so if I ever make it to series six and a half, I’ll have forgotten the above information.

When it was first shown in the UK the listing always appeared in the newspaper without details. So I missed most of it before discovering it wasn’t a programme about opera.
This last half series was a bit slow. I had the impression that they were scene-setting for a grand finale, but it never really happened. Pity, because it’s an excellent show, and often very chilling in its portrayal of the gangster mentality.
