Sometimes the banalities of life just don’t make for solid Twitter status updates. Add a little mystery and confusion with the Twitter Status Generator.
I must admit that I still haven’t really got the hang of my Twitter page yet. But this looks like fun and the above tweet was scarily accurate. A few other generated tweets I liked were:
Curiously hurt and floating with fish sticks.
Happily snuggled and staring at extinction.
Near hungry and sharing the point of existence.

Curiously hurt and floating with fish sticks.
The other day I read there are now more than a billion tweets on Twitter.
Half of them are: Hi! I’m on Twitter! Now what?

The other half are me. But I just got a speaking gig out of the throwdown I had earlier this evening about etiquette and early adopters in social media, so I can’t complain. I’ll just put my consulting fees up.

Dragonqueen, I sort of have the same reaction. But I understand it is some sort of web service where you can be instantly connected with a group of people. It is sort of like being at a party where everybody is talking at once and following one thread of the story can be extremely challenging for linear people like me. Plus I have hours at a time when I am not available on computer or web or iPhone, so when I finally tune back in to a line of conversation, I am so far out of date I can never catch up.
That is what happened to me at the Other Place. Apparently when I posted I wrote comments that were too long, and then when I missed a couple of days I had thousands of backlong comments to read and I just didn’t have time. so I gave up.
I figure Twitter would be a similar experience. So I haven’t even really looked into it. After Facebook caused my ancient computer to have terminal indigestion because of the size of its files, I am leery of apps.
Just one of the out of touch generation, I guess. Sorry, I have to go help Jim get the leaves off the lawn. Autumn has arrived with a vengeance. And the elms are still holding their leaves, so there’s going to be a second wave in a week or so. Heavens.
Hoping you are starting to feel better, Ms. az.
