My favourite part of that is how the follow spot operator gets nervous near the end, waiting for another move out of the spot. Only because I used to be one long ago.
That’s the most popular YouTube video ever, by quite a stretch. It’s interesting because the person involved is not well known, nor are the production values particularly high. Why this video and not something else? Maybe it has a particular resonance across both cultures, sexes and generations? It’s an interesting question..
Reminds me of the more fanatic instructors at the aqua aerobics. Even the horrible music… Bur I can assure you that trying even a small fraction of that while under water is very strenuous.
You hadn’t seen it? It’s been around a very long time; was the first thing to go significantly viral on YouTube. Judson Laipply has a business doing “motivational dance” talks. I’ve got a video somewhere on my blog of him breaking the whole series down for some hapless tv interviewer and teaching her to do all the moves. He’s making a good living, thanks to this video. Good for him.
Came across this once before, but it’s still hilarious – Thanks for the grin, Az, and we’re glad to hear the Op went well 🙂

Hey John, nice to see you again. Liked the Black Friday Sid in the City. 🙂
Sounds like it’s been around for awhile, Colm. Could that be it?
Well, I hadn’t seen it before. What a workout! I wonder how many calories he burned in those six minutes.

Jake showed me this a little while ago – it’s pretty funny but I kept waiting for him to do the Vogue

It’s so popular because it’s brilliant. I like how it goes smoothly from being an evolution to a medly without missing a step. (sorry)
But of course I must register a complaint: Where’s the Pogo?? The Sex Pistols would have fit perfectly just before or after the Village People…
