Your New Years Resolution is…
Spend more time on the internet
Just think of all the unchartered territory out there. So many blogs to read. So many YouTube videos that remain unwatched. So many web games not yet played. So many Ebay auctions to watch. Let this be the Year of the Web!
New Years Resolutions that you can keep!
(swiped from Archie)
I think I can manage that. Well, except for web games & ebay auctions.
Though I actually agree with this BBC article:
Resolutions “Bad For Your Health”

Mine was not to leave the couch for 12 hours straight. I don’t have a couch, will my recliner do? I think I can manage it from there, if I gather enough food around me.

Ha! It’s only 9 o’clock and I’ve been up twice already.

I giggled when I saw the pic illustrating this – it’s the same “set of knives-man” that I have in my kitchen.

Gosh, my resolution is to spend much less time on the internet and more time reading good books. So out of touch…

My New Year’s resolution is 1280 x 800, 32 bit, 60 Hertz.
Same as last year.

The article suggests a few steps to improve all-round mental health, but they sound suspiciously like resolutions to me…
One ‘birthday present’ I’ll be giving myself next week is going back to yoga class. My gym owes me a month’s membership fees from last May, so I thought I’d see how it goes in January with the chemo and, if I can manage at least two weeks out of the month, keep it up. Sure is going to be hard leaving my nice warm bed at 8 in the morning…

I got the getting up at least once a day resolution too.
I’m glad you are going to go do yoga! It will be very good for you. I have read articles that suggest that those sorts of disciplines can help alleviate the negative effects of chemo, but I’m sure that everyone reacts differently.
I have been a very good girl. I didn’t make a New Year’s Resolution, but about a month ago I told Jim I really wanted to start exercising more and could he please start making the DVR record Body Electric, which is a half hour low impact work out program on PBS. He set the machine to record every morning, and then told it to only keep the last five programs. So for the last month, there has been this item on the “Recorded List” to remind me of my stated desire. So, I have started doing the little workout, and boy it has been a real eye-opener about my fitness level (not as high as I thought!). My whole body is sore now, even though I have not been using the weights she thinks we should have in our hands. . . This too shall pass.
Hope your year is happy and contains minimal ill health and maximum prosperity.

I want that resolution. Seriously, it is what I would like to do. I’d love to find more time for both writing blog posts, and reading other people’s. And then commenting. I’m so bad at commenting.
