Today’s Photohunter theme is “pink”.
Am bending the rules a bit as this photo was taken for me not by me (I also posted it here last month, but what the heck). My friend Sara and her mum – both cancer survivors – took part in the central London Race For Life at the end of May. Sara’s husband Steve took this photo and sent it to me. It made me cry happy tears and feel very loved indeed.
I’m Shawn.

That probably fits the T-shirt meme, too…
My t-shirt is in the wash but I will get it up when it is done… Pink will have to wait until I get home.
…and you are very loved, indeed!

I don’t see that you’re bending the rules at all…the only rule is that the photo is not taken off internet sites. Your photo is perfect!!!!
My pink is posted. Come by to view if you can find time. Happy weekend.

I like this photo too. It says much.
A couple of years ago I stayed with a friend who had just had a huge tumor removed from his chest. He too is better, but we had a few post operative nightmares to deal with. I’m glad I was able to spend the better half of two weeks at his home.

Makes me very glad I took this photo.
As an aside, I’m happy to say that on Thursday Sara had a check-up with her oncology team (still on an every four months follow up routine) and was given a clean bill of health.

That’s fabulous news, Steve! I’m still amazed Sara was able to do the race just a few months after finishing treatment. I’ll be happy if by Christmas I’m able to climb the stairs to my apartment without gasping for breath and feeling like my chest is about to explode.
Thanks for all the comments everyone. Very glad that you enjoyed Steve’s photo.
