Today’s Photohunter theme is “entertainment”.
Tomorrow I head out for a week in Málaga and I’m really looking forward to my first week-long holiday in over 25 years. A friend has lent me his beachfront apartment and these are the things I am bringing with me to provide some entertainment. You know, for when I get tired of walking on the beach, dipping my toes in the Mediterranean, wandering around the old centre of town, eating delicious tapas…

Stop! You’re making me hungry! And jealous! I love holidays like that – everything is entertaining!:-)
Try to stop by before you go – I’ll send you off with some cheesecake!

Ooh that sounds like a great holiday. Sun, sand, a great apartment and you get to curl up with a Portuguese nobel laureate too I see!

My computer is obviously developing a fault as the word ‘entertaining’ appears in the same space as a copy of ‘Lost’ on dvd.
But have a good time regardless.

Well, it would have been Damages season 2, but that’s not available until the end of August. Lost is okay, though not one of my favourites. Will also be bringing a couple of films.
Checking the weather, Málaga is a lot cooler than Sevilla – and with a sea breeze! We’ll even have air conditioning, though we probably won’t need it.
Still nervous about leaving the boys for a whole week, but I have one cat sitter and another friend as an “in case of emergency” backup. Will also miss Sunny’s birthday on Wednesday but I’ll just give him extra snibbles when I get back.
I’m so excited! 🙂

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, RJ, but I have always loved cheesecake. I’m going to try at least one of yours after I get back and start my antioxidant/fitness/weight loss regimen.
Um … thanks, YTSL. But that’s me on the right.
Yep. Both of those books were chosen specially, jams. I keep dreaming of returning to Lisbon and Morocco and so this holiday I’ll be able to armchair travel there while I’m in Málaga.
Hmmm, Wales, eh Liz? I used to live in Bristol and found myself asking the same question after a while…

Hey, have a wonderful time in Malaga! I’m looking forward to hearing all about it. Hope you don’t need all that entertainment you are taking with you. I always try to provide for my own entertainment and then I wonder why I dragged four books with me plus my colored pencils and Mandala coloring books when I never even had a chance to open one book for more than five minutes. But if I didn’t have the stuff, then for sure I would need it, right?
I am not photohunting this week, just blathering a bit. Got to go get to work now.

I went with a completely different view on “entertainment” today, with my post at http://www.riverbum.blogspot.com

I hope you have a great time and really just soak up the sun and relaxation with feet up the entire time. Although not if it starts to resemble Roman vomitariums.
