I’ve been doing so well today — no snacking at all, and since it’s almost bedtime, i thought i was home free. Ha!
Have a wonderful tomorrow!

Thanks Anne. At least you can visually snack here and it’s calorie free.
The photos are in alphabetical order by name of restaurant. A couple of them we visited twice (Strachan & Vino Mio) lest anyone think we could have actually eaten THAT much food at one sitting. Vino Mio is the last five pics – loved that place. And the “presa” at Strachan was worth going back for a second time.
In the end we only went out for two breakfasts – had the rest at the apartment. And most days we had either lunch or dinner out, except for the last two days we were there when we had a tapa snack for lunch and also dinner out. The “vacation donations” made all these meals possible by paying for my half of them, though I did treat Nog to the Maricuchi meal.
One noticable difference was that the service in Málaga restaurants was far more attentive and professional than most places in Sevilla. I don’t know why, but the first meal out at Vino Mio on the day we arrived I couldn’t believe how fabulous the wait staff were. And then it kept happening almost everywhere we went.
And I seriously thought I’d put on about 5 kilos, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find out I’d actually lost a kilo. But we did walk a lot every day, about 2-3 hours.
I also felt like I could actually live in Málaga. It not only has the sea but also a very different energy than Sevilla. Kind of refreshing. Hmmm…

You know how to make a gal miss Spain! It seems like it doesn’t matter how much I eat on vacation I don’t seem to gain weight. It must be all the walking. You’ll have to keep it up while in Zahara.

I should know better than to click the link to your blog when I am hungry…

The weird thing about these photos is that tapas sometimes come out looking bigger than raciones (full plates).
For example, the “Moraga bull’s tail burger” (3rd row down) was tiny and the “El Fogon beef” (top row) was massive.
Should I put up a warning that says food items may appear closer and bigger than they actually are?

I am in lust with these dishes.
A few days ago I made the chicken liver in sherry tapa we enjoy around here. I’m about to start working with seafood ones. Actually, we love fish so this is an important next step in our tapa diet.

Mmmmm… Nog & I had some fabulous chicken livers over at this place awhile ago.
If you are interested in a good Spanish cookbook, Zeus, then I heartily recommend this one (though it appears to be out of stock at the moment).
