Mine is up but the photos may be rather disturbing. The first I used in an earlier PhotoHunter but the second is one I haven’t dared put up publicly before. Just warning you…
I was really stumped as to what to put up this week, then yesterday evening Nog & I were out for a walk and we stopped by the Horno San Buenaventura to pick up some bread. As usual when I see the massive displays of all this sweet stuff I kind of shuddered and then I thought – that’s it! It also explains why the photos are all a bit dark. There was no natural light coming in and I couldn’t use a flash because everything was behind glass display cases.
I do admit to enjoying these arabic pastries on my birthday and mince pies at Christmas – and maybe one or two vanilla icecream cones in summer – but otherwise I don’t really like sweet things. And I’ve only met one other woman who, like me, doesn’t care for chocolate.
Give me savoury over sweet every time. But I have to admit that I loved the bread from that place, and the wonderful coffee. I also remember an incence seller on the corner- does he ever sell anything?
That incense guy … I dunno. I always speed past him with a scarf over my nose & mouth and feel sorry for the people trying to enjoy their food outside on the terrace.
OMG …. the gelato…………

That stuff is never on my diet.
I’m in for this week’s photohunter theme too.

I’m not especially keen on that kind of thing either, but you remain the Mistress Of Food Porn.

Hmmm.. I’ve got a sweet tooth for sure, but pictures never really do it for me. It’s not like (food) porn.
Have I said too much? I’ll get me coat…

I have a very sweet tooth and a waistline which expands if I think about dessert. Said waist just grew by about 5cm 😦

Yep, the Horno is the best damned breakfast place in town, with the best damned coffee. I usually buy my bread there (they also supply El Corte Inglés) and used to have breakfast there almost every morning back when I was living on my own. Now it’s an occasional treat. But I still get greeted like an old friend. 🙂

The only thing undesirable about that is that I can’t get to it. Looks delicious.

It must smell heavenly in that place where these pics were taken. You’re lucky you don’t have a sweet tooth.
