When we were down in San Antonio Texas a few years ago for the International Accordion Festival, there were margarita stands on site and they were fantastic (always busy too!)

Around here we have ice cream trucks that drive around playing tinkly music. For a long time they played “little brown jug” which absolutely made me laugh every time I heard it. I so love the idea of a cocktail truck and wonder what kind of music it would broadcast to advertise itself.

Today it was “La cucaracha” on the ice cream truck. The words I learned to that included the lines “Porque no tiene, porque le falta, marijuana por fumar.” Sometimes I wonder about the icecream man.

Well, this certainly segues into the next Photohunt theme.
I don’t think I’ve actually had a cocktail since I made frozen cosmos back in August 2008! Perhaps I should get some margarita fixings for this long hot summer coming up…

I decided to get the fixings for margaritas this past summer. I have always used a recipe that calls for 3 shots good Tequilla, 2 shots Cointreau, and 1 shot lime. Unfortunately limes here in Australia are different–still can’t put my finger on how–but they didn’t make much of a margarita. I guess I’ll have to wait until I get back to NM for a real “daisy”. Hope yours come out good, and keep you refreshed on those hot Sevilla days.
