I’m always surprised by how many people think that SevillaTapas on Twitter is male, though this also used to happen to me years ago on h2g2, which is when I first started using the nickname azahar. But now here is the scientific proof to show that I am indeed more feminine than masculine! Though I’ve always thought that my Twitter avatar for SevillaTapas is quite feminine. Go figure.

In the case of my SevillaTapas account on Twitter I would agree that it’s the first name that causes this assumption, but it’s also happened when just using the nickname “azahar” (orange blossom). It’s especially funny when I meet someone in person for the first time who is expecting me to be a man. 🙂

Same as before with eunuch thing. I agree with @sledpress about the animals and kids question: most animals and kids are sort of OK, but working with them is a whole different cup of tea. And shopping question is also weird: men also like shopping, but in different stores: hardware and electronics.

I doubt Sled would agree that kids are even “sort of okay” 😉 … and I’m the sort of woman who adores browsing in electronics places. I also like a nice market, but clothes and shoe shopping is mostly a chore as I never really expect to find anything I actually like.
