So yeah okay, it was only two visits. But that was only because Nog took back the Holter for me last Thursday morning. And added on to last week’s oncology visit – and having to wear that darned Holter for 24 hours – it was enough to feel like too much hospital for me. Anyhow, a few images from my hospital visits. The electrode thingys for the Holter, my most favourite and adorable chemo nurse Wenceslao in his cute yellow crocs (taken when I went to get my chemo port flushed out on Friday), and oddly light-wrapped palm trees outside the hospital. I don’t get this whole *blue* Christmas light thang, but as I was on my way out to find a taxi home they made me smile.
Plan to take a whole month off from the hospital now!

You had those things pasted all over your front? That would be enough for me for a whole season. And then some.

Whenever Mom has had one of her “turns” and ends up at the hospital or whenever she has tests or the Holter monitors (or any of the many other devices they paste to her) we are finding those sticky anchors days afterwards in nooks and crannies. Since the nurses don’t always take them off for her, I don’t know how many to look for. And since her skin is so delicate, they tend to take a lot of gentle pulling to get off.
Hope you have some time off for good behaviour!

Yeah, those sticky things were weird. Aside from the ones on my front I also had a couple just above my waist, and then the monitor thingy strapped to me. I can’t really remember the first one I had a few years ago except that it seemed I had to have it on longer and that it was way more uncomfortable.
Nice to think I won’t have to go back until just after new year. And then the next PET around mid-January…

Palm trees around here are wrapped this way for the season, mostly in white lights however.
