There he is! My new toaster. Jessica and I went out together this evening as she was needed to pick up Spanish food things for her birthday picnic in Paris on Saturday and so we went and checked out the toaster section. I’d forgotten how much fun it is to go shopping with another chica.

Anyhow, I’ve always loved Russell Hobbs appliances but they are usually way too expensive for me. For some reason this cool matte silver darling was only 29€ so I thought – why the hell not? And suddenly I have way more counter top space again, which is a bonus. Plus it comes with a *ahem* bun warmer. Seriously. I had no idea what that gizmo on top was so Jessica and I were rifling through the instructions manual to find out. When I commented on how idiotic it was to have instruction manuals for toasters anyhow Jessica pointed out that they might say not to put aluminum foil on top of them to heat things up. Hmm…

So I think this one is a keeper. And Jessica is not allowed to make grilled cheese sandwiches in it.
