I love how my two girls are getting along so well. Loki seems to be feeling a bit outnumbered these days and although he still happily hangs out with the chicas, he tends to need a little extra cuddling from the Alpha Cat (me). Hard to say at this point if Morcilla will end up bigger than Luna. But it’s one big happy house of rescue cats. Now if I could find a way of kitten-proofing my balconies…

I just need Morcilla to not climb the balcony railings.

So proud of Luna. MASSIVE cockroach scuttled across living room floor while I was watching TV. She had the fuckah down for the count in seconds flat so it could be picked up in a wad of paper towel and flushed down the toilet. *phew*

You can cat proof the balcony with a bit of screen tilted inward at points where they would otherwise jump over. Here’s a garden with the type of screening I’m talking about. http://www.m2blog.com.au/uploaded/4/cats/IMG_4285.jpg
We’ve used some netting mounted outward to protect our tomato garden from neighborhood cats. It does work.

My cat sees any barrier as a challenge and would be over that wire thingy in a flash . I hear, you, Az,I’d love to be able to enjoy my balcony again, but unless I cage the whole thing in….
