I have to admit that I’m tempted. At least to start building a collection, bit by bit. Worth the outrageous price?

I wish 🙂 It’s great stuff but too expensive in Spain and too heavy to carry home when you find the occasional bargain abroad. If you get the chance though, go for it. I’ve got a Le Creuset griddle and it’s a magnificent beast. I’d love to own more.

I LOVE my Le creuset!! however, I’m not sure I need a collection. maybe just a few of them? I use my “dutch oven” all the time!

It’s a beautiful range…perhaps one piece at a time would be a great idea!!

Gorgeous but very heavy!

Yeah, they weigh a ton. The colors alone get me. I have a sauce pan and small Dutch oven that my transgender ex gave me when his dad downsized his senile mother’s kitchen. (There’s always a narrative.) She had burnt things onto them horribly, and I was delighted and amazed at how well they cleaned up — that surface is apparently impervious to inept cooking, memory lapses etc. I just haven’t used them much — not prone to oven cooking. But they do transfer heat very evenly and conserve on burner gas. Again, though, heavy. And I’m speaking as a weight lifter.

I suggest starting with the mugs that I posted about on my blog! Nice, relatively affordable when compared to the bigger stuff and they last.
