While I was away I was doing all my work via the iPhone, which of course is handy – an office in my hand! – but it’s not all that comfortable. Next trip I am going to invest in a small keyboard to use with my iPad. Anyhoodle…
Getting home and back to work on my not-so-trusty steed Sterling (more on that later) was a relief, but mostly because the cutest office assistant ever was keeping me company. I swear Morcilla hasn’t left my side since I got home.
She’s the bomb. My Engineer says she is the lankiest cat ever.

Weird that she turned out long and skinny like the sausage I named her after. But I think she lost a bit of weight while I was away. Tomoko was having trouble getting her to eat, and she can’t afford to lose anything. So yeah, looking a bit lankier than usual.
Happy to report that since I got home she is eating well and even demanding her bedtime snack (which only she gets). The best thing for her would be to leave food out all day so that she can daintily nibble when she feels like it – she never eats much at one sitting. But I can’t do that because Loki would eat EVERYTHING ALL DAY LONG.
Meanwhile, her “special feedings” have turned her into a bit of a dining diva, waiting to be coaxed and talked to, and have a few nibbles taken out of her bowl to get her interested. I have seriously created a little monster here.
Her lankiness is also what makes it so fun for her to climb, I think. She doesn’t weigh anything, but she’s quite young and strong, so climbing those curtains are a delight for her. I’ve never seen a cat ENJOY their body so much.

I have that feeding problem with Fergie. Without frequent nibbles and a little regular medication, he’d be anorexic-looking, but his little wife and buddy are porkers!

Morcilla is eating fine again now, but still insists on her bedtime snack, which the other two aren’t allowed (since they don’t need it). I think she does it just to taunt them…
