I don’t, as you know, ordinarily listen to bebop, but CSNY was the only “group” ever represented in my tape collection, and it was largely because of that song. It described, sweetly, something that I wanted very much. The music they performed was all so gentle. I still choke up a little listening.
I adopted that term after “Good Omens” (blaming you) where the old fashioned angel uses that term to refer to anything modern. It’s my cranky retaliation for getting the constant message when I was young that something was wrong with me because I didn’t know the names of all the groups on the radio or the top ten songs or the singers and cared about instruments that weren’t electric guitars.

Bebop?? I think you may be confused. That’s crazy jazz stuff. BUT I do agree that this is one damn fine lovely song.
