Actually, not sure how long this link will last but one of the top floor

If only more buildings were that pretty. The trend around here for the last couple of decades has been for packing-box-like, prison-resembling structures whose brickwork has been aptly described by a local carper as “barf beige.” Sigh.

Trust me, most buildings aren’t this stunning here, though in general the architecture in the old centre is quite special. Outside the city centre there are plenty of charmless cement blocks, which is where the local govt wants us all to move so that tourists can live in our homes.
