The fresh local asparagus season is upon us, which means I’ll be eating it almost daily while it lasts. It also means these guys won’t give me a moment’s rest until they also get a taste. Getting the gang all together for a group photo usually only happens when they’re sleeping or when they want a treat. Here they are impatiently waiting for the asparagus to cool…

Not very likely that I’ll ever end up doing the Netflix & Chill thang. But Netflix & Purr? One of my favourite ways to spend some relax time at home. Especially with this darling girl. Morcilla knows as soon as I turn on the TV and put my feet up that she is in for some serious lap time and constant cuddles.

Morcilla is 3 today! As most of you know she shares a birthday with the most beloved Azar (still cherished and sadly missed), born exactly 18 years after he was. I think they would have been great friends, and in a lot of ways Morcilla “channels” Azar, as she has many of his same habits and personality traits.
But today is HER day, and so happy birthday to my gorgeous girl.
