Remember when I stopped off in El Puerto de Santa María during my latest Cádiz Getaway to visit a couple of sherry bodegas? Well, one of them was one of my favourites, Gutiérrez Colosía. I’d been there before (during last year’s Cádiz Getaway) and have since been in touch with the owners and their two daughters at other sherry events in Jerez and Sevilla. So I was really pleased to see this video today by sisters Carmen & Carlota Gutiérrez (Carmen is painting, Carlota is filming) which I think is a sign of what is to come in the world of sherry. I love that these two girls have not only taken a huge step towards making sherry “cool” but they are also shattering the old school image by creating a new fresh & stylish look for sherry that will appeal to their generation.
