Found this DVD today over at Fnac . . .
For just 5.95€ we will be able to blast to the past and relive Woodstock. Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Will let you know how it goes (after I get the flowers out of my hair).

Of course I mean relive the film experience as I was only 12 when it happened …
Nog says it’s going to be tricky to keep Azar from eating the flowers, especially if we watch the film in bed.

I was supposed to go to Woodstock, but at the last minute, my friend’s car lost it’s driveshaft!!! Comes from having too many people in the car, all the time. 😕
I wouldn’t have been brave enough to go au naturel, anyway — not enough drugs on the planet for that! 😉

Joe cocker! I always liked him! For a while, he was a semi-regular on the Detroit scene — I used to see him fairly often at the Grande Ballroom, the summer of ’68, or was it ’69??
I wonder what direction my life would have taken if I *had* gone, and Carl’s car hadn’t died?

BTW, if you see the DVD of the Monterey Pop Festival, GRAB IT! It has early performances of Janis Joplin (another of my faves), the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, oh, a whole bunch of the old 60’s bands.

I have to say that watching Woodstock was a very strange combination of feeling both very young and old at the same time.
I think Joe was my favourite performance, followed by Janis. There’s just something about her that always touches my heart.
Loved all the fringe. And was very surprised to see that Gracie Slick and I have the same hair!
Yes, I was telling Nog about Monterey. We’ll keep an eye out for that one.
But sheesh, after 3 and a half hours we just wanted Jimi to finish the damn song already.
