Just one more week of holidays!
Time sure does fly when you’re having fun. I have to say that this has been one of my best ‘holidays’ ever, just hanging around at home and doing whatever. What I’ve enjoyed most is a delicious sense of freedom – not having to be anywhere at any specific time, not having to do anything unless I actually feet like it. And not feeling guilty about not getting certain things done. For example, the hallway remains unpainted. Feh, who cares?
Well, off for a morning walk while it’s still cool. Saw some perfect shoes for winter the other day . . . think I’ll go see if they fit.

Well dang – the shoes didn’t fit. Actually they were a sort of ankle height ‘Beatle boot’ but with a flat chunky sole. Coolisimo! But once I got the fuckers on I needed Nog to help me get them off again! 🙂 And so the search continues…
Meanwhile, the weather forcast is for rain on Sunday so we thought this might actually be a good day to paint the hallway. And so either this evening or tomorrow morning we’re going to buy some paint just in case we feel like painting on Sunday morning.
And meanwhile meanwhile, my friend Edward has reminded me of a film I haven’t seen for ages – the fabulous Gregory’s Girl. So that means another trip to Fnac to see if they have it in stock. Which will also give me another chance to drool over the fabulous HP tablet . . .

Sorry the shoes didn’t fit. As the saying doesn’t go, but would if it felt like go that way, “if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it.”
Considering the foot-themed end of your post, I was kind of amused by your possible typo:
“…not having to do anything unless I actually feet like it.”
I’m thinking it’s a Freudian typo. But in a totally non-sexual way. Unless, of course, you’re into feet…

Oh, that is soooo funny, alejna – didn’t spot it at all. But I clearly must have had feet on the brain.
Thing is, I reckon I probably do have rather sexy feet (if only because I’ve been told so more than once) but the truth is that these triple-EEE wide fuckers with a very high instep to boot make it almost impossible to find shoes that fit. So for every ten shoes I happen to like maybe one might actually fit.
I do much better with sandals, especially as I only wear Mephistos now.
Thank you for making me laugh out loud. 🙂

Wow! The skies suddenly went all dark and thundery and just now it’s started totally pissing down. First time since, um, May?
Very welcome for the most part, except for that load of darks I just put in the washing machine and will have to be dried on the rack in the spare room and probably end up going all stinky.
WHY is it that dark clothes not immediately and quickly dried end up stinky?

I wonder what makes some feet sexy? (Or maybe I don’t really wonder too much.) In any case, I’m pretty sure that mine aren’t. Unless someone likes callouses. But mine are also super wide with a high arch. Pointy-toed shoes are my enemy.
I hadn’t noticed that dark clothes tend to stinkify faster. I wonder if clothes that are dark-colored also tend to be heavier fabrics? Eg. jeans and pants tending to be dark, whereas lightweight shirts are often lighter colors. That’s my hypothesis.

Oh, and speaking of pants. I think you tried to post a link on a comment on my blog a while back, but no link came through. Something about pants written by a Canadian?

It didn’t come through? Oops, I’ll go over and try to fix it.
Yes, I’ve never noticed that awful smell on whites. Maybe something to do with the dyes? They attract whatever bacteria makes that smell? Anyhow, I recently found a liquid laundry soap made for ‘coloured clothes’ that says it ‘eliminates bad odours’ but I’m not sure it doesn’t just add its own rather strong ‘clean and soapy’ smell …
And speaking of feet … I found this article awhile ago. I can’t imagine hating my feet this much.
