It’s been so sunny and warm here the past few days that I’ve been able to open up the balcony doors during the afternoon to let some warm air and sunshine into casa az. This time of year it’s often warmer outside than inside at midday. And after having been cooped up without much fresh air for the past couple of months the cats are totally loving it, immediately going out to sit on the balcony and take in huge gulps of air … oh, the little darlings. In general they’re quite happy being house cats and can spend most of the year hanging out on the balconies to get some fresh air and even do a bit of serious sunbathing. But of course during the winter the balcony doors stay shut in order to keep the place at least somewhat warmish.
Anyhow, I’m loving it too, being able to sit here without wearing three sweaters and a scarf … it’s about 20ΒΊ today, which for me is almost sandal weather. And so that pic up top is the view today from one of the living room balconies. The bedroom balcony view looks like this.
I feel so lucky to live here. π

We don’t even get proper winter weather. Or perhaps we do, given the standards here. After one good day with sunshine and frost last night, we’re back to the usual plus a few degrees and the threat of rain. Sigh.

Well okay, it was luck and perseverance … but I still think I’m pretty lucky. When you see it in person, nursemyra, you’ll see all the ‘flaws’ as it’s quite an old building and hasn’t been maintained very well. But it’s home and I love it.
Hey, SG V, long time no see! I wouldn’t say we get ‘proper’ winter weather here either, but it also doesn’t rain much here (which is both a blessing and a curse). Oh, it made me smile to see your name here today. π

more than good luck, methinks that good karma is a factor!

Glorious, az. Love the tower, too. I’m sitting here at my desk, looking at stacks of paper to be condensed to a fine, impeccable point, and vicariously imagining being there, with cat at feet. A pleasant beginning to the day, at least. Gracias.

I just discovered your blog. The imagery of cats on balconies basking in the sun in Seville Spain creates a fit of jealousy within my spirit. Lucky is an understatement. I love the photos.

Hi cj and welcome! π Yeah, I’m often jealous of my cats too.
I love the tower a lot, Ben – I seriously live in a postcard. But I also love the little street I can see from my living room, so typical and the buildings painted in typical Sevilla colours.
Karma, daisy? Moi???
