Have just discovered a second reason to be on Facebook.
I thought the only reason was to play Scrabble online with my friends, but now I can also play this online version of Boggle. I just started my first game today with alejna (who appears to be quite expert at it!) and I’m not exactly off to a great start. But I love word games so, if you’d like to play Scrabble or Scramble with me, just look me up on Facebook (Azahar Sevilla) or drop me an email (left-hand sidebar).
Okay, I’m not that much of an expert. I have a friend who keeps challenging me, so I’ve been playing quite a bit over the last week or so.
By the way, that round we just played was a particularly hard one. So the not so great start was just luck of the draw.
Another facebook word game I’ve gotten hooked on is Text Twirl. I’m particularly fond of it because I can play it solitaire, as well. I find it’s actually helped me a bit with Scrabble.

Gaaaaa – it’s so frustrating when you see all the possible words after, isn’t it?
And talking of the luck of the draw, in another game I have going I just got a board with only three consonants (k,n,c) and six of the vowels were I’s. The possible highest score was only 22. I’m getting totally cheesed* in that game.
Think I’ll check out Text Twirl. What can I say? It’s gonna be a long hot summer hanging out here at casa az …
*cheesed – like getting creamed, only worse

Wow, I am so crap at Scramble!
Also, I just figured out that you could move the letters around (duh) and I didn’t realise that we play the same board each round (double duh).
I think it’s the time factor. I get all nervous and freeze up when I see the time counting down.
So if anyone out there wants to feel super smart then just challenge me to a game. 🙂

You’re not crap at Scramble, you’re just not used to it. (Really, I only got used to it because my friend kept challenging me over and over again.) You’re so good at coming up with words I’d never dream of when we play Scrabble, I’m sure you’d get good at it. If it didn’t drive you batty.
As for moving the letters, you can only rotate your view of the board. The letters stay positioned the same relative to each other, at least as far as I know, but the new perspective can make it easier to see what you’re working with. So you weren’t missing too much.
I also just discovered that you can play solitaire. I think they call it “ladder mode.” It’s still timed, but there isn’t the same pressure.

He he. What kind of dumbass does that make me when you keep on beating me then?! I get the same thing, my brain just sees the clock counting down and just goes ‘I’m outta here!’ So I’m guessing all I’m left to play with is the retarded single brain cell that couldn’t keep up with the others. Either that, or what they say is true and alcohol really*does* rot your brain :sticks fingers in ears and goes ‘lalala’ very loudly:
