Yeah I know, it ain’t exactly nursemyra, but I thought some of you might like to see The Scar and I didn’t want too much of my belly showing, so it had to be a ‘lingerie shot’ with my trusty dressing gown. My left hand is covering up a couple inches of the scar at the bottom, but you get the general idea. It’s BIG. And the next one will be about the same size except horizontal and J-shaped, below my right ribs.
Oh, and check out them fingernails! 😉

You have an “innie” scar. Mine is an “outie”. I have been known to use my scar to entertain the kiddies. “Look! I have a worm on my tummy!”

Glad you like the shot, guys. I was really unsure about putting it up, but Nog (my photographer) talked me into it.
My scar isn’t really an ‘innie’, Anneke, it puffs out a little bit. It’s also wider above the belly button for some reason. Good thing my bikini days are long over or people would think I had two bums!
No manicure, Teuchter. Well, not a professional one. Yes, the nails are looking quite nice, aren’t they? One day Pipocas and I decided we needed a bit of colour, nothing too obvious (though my toenails are always painted bright red) and so I went out shopping for some nail polish. Found a nice soft colour and decided to get some for Pipocas too, and when I got to the check out I saw that the name of the colour was popcorn! (pipocas means popcorn in Portuguese – she chose that nickname because of her being a popcorn mule and international woman of mystery). Anyhow, we thought it was a pretty funny coincidence.

It was hard not having more tit showing as all my bras are too big for me now. As you can see, I had to hold it up against me to keep it from hanging open too much (that hand pose wasn’t just about showing off the nails).

I have an old, old scar on my upper chest, right in the middle, right where you would normally wear a necklace to draw attention to your decolletage, and I’m self-conscious about it although nobody else has ever disliked it… so try not to worry about the scars. Bikinis are over-rated!

Bikinis can be worn regardless of scars.
When #1 was rushed out into the world the obstreticians cared less about my future looks than the life of my wee li’l one. On my way to the ICU I ‘d woke up – I later was told – being furious about my scar and the fact that I NEVER could wear a bikini again. I was 22. If I had a baby or not I’d not mentioned at all.
When I woke up for real later, my concerns were more for my newborn than for my tummy. I’ve worn bikinis afterwards, not that I’m much of a sunbather.
… and there are several more scars nowadays, you can almost play tic tac toe on my tummy now 😀

Re: Nails… Over the last few days my thumb has been hurting and, as I mentioned, I have splits in my nails.
This morning my thumb was throbbing and it was obviously infected in a line from the top of the nail down to the quick.
All the nails on my right hand have the same split down the middle of the nail and the nail is separating from the nail-bed… The doctor gave me a sterile swab to take a sample from infected thumb and another to take a nail sample from my left toe which is also kind of “funny”.
I have to take these sample myself, mind you….
Trouble is… it will be ten days before we know what is going on an my thumb could have fallen off by then.

That;s actually quite a nice pic, az! the lingerie and the nails look very feminine, and sexy.
Your scar may be longer than mine, but it’s going to fade like mine, too. It was reddish for a year, but now it’s skin coloured.
Look at it this way, you can wear that bikini, and use the scar as a convo-starter. 🙂
