Thankfully, the fur ball season is coming to an end.
Yesterday’s combing session resulted in less than two palms worth of cat hair.

lThere is never a “furball season” around Smokey. He sheds copious amounts of hair regardless of what season it is. Ruby is losing her winter hair and in a matter of days enough accumulates on the floors that where there is hardwood or tile small drifts of golden dog hair begin to form along the baseboards where the breeze of passing feet blow it.

Years ago, when Mom was still teaching, her students were doing M*A*S*H as a play and the script called for a dead cat. Mom sewed up this marvelously “dead” stuffed cat out if fun fur. He is still around all these years later and I can tell you it startled many a house guest over the years.
I will haul it out and photograph it.
