A couple of weeks ago I saw this tweet from @nerdseyeview on Twitter (aka Pam Mendel), which said…

trade ya. my seattle photo book (made to try a selfpublishing service) for that thing YOU made. will ship worldwide. whaddaya got?

I was intrigued. Plus I thought it was a very cool idea. So I replied that I made Irish linen comfy clothes (yeah I know – they are Italian linen, whatever) and we decided to swap…

Most of you know about that easy-wear line of linen clothing I made (that never sold!!!).  Well, I still have a fair bit of stock that I thought would make a nifty trade item. So I sent Pam a link to some of the garments (I’ve put a few up in the new soon-to-be-opened-I-hope store just in case I have better luck next time) and she chose a pj shirt. Then I packed it up, put in a small packet of orange blossom, and sent it off. And she got it in three days! What with Semana Santa and all happening over here, it took much longer for Pam’s photo album to arrive. Then, when I was coming home from the gym yesterday morning I passed my postman in the street and he said there was a “paquetita” waiting for me, and I knew it had to be the album. It was. I love it!

Here are a few shots … it’s very charming though perhaps not as seattley as I expected. But then what do I know as I have only visited Seattle via episodes of Frasier.  The photos are all wonderful, which isn’t surprising as Pam’s short bio simply says: “a camera, a passport, a ukulele”.

How about you? Got something you’d like to trade?
