And loving it!
I’m working on the laptops even more than before and the time flies by. In between I get to the gym for yoga and also do my far-too-few English classes. Getting this new job doing the social media thang has really changed my life! In the sense that I am doing work that I am really enjoying, and I feel a lot more focused. Guys, this is just the break I’ve been needing. Especially as this fits into the category of “work that is exactly what I’d want to do anyhow when I get out of bed in the morning” … which is something I’ve been looking for all my life.
But it’s also important to me that I don’t stop my daily posts here. Doing this was something that really kept me going while I was sick after ops and on chemo. My personal scrapbook. My home. And it’s also where I get to visit with you guys. So, hasta mañana!

But good for you – everyone needs that feeling x

Getting to do something you love doing, and would probably do as a hobby even if not getting paid is great.
I sometimes forget how lucky I am to also be in that boat, until I talk to friends and family about their experiences of work.
So good skills and congrats!

Well, it is “only” a part-time job, paying maybe a quarter of what I need to live on, but it’s work that really feels like ME. Sure I enjoy my English classes, and the tapas tours, and I know I’ll be good at running the store and I do well at keeping up the Sevilla Tapas blog … but this one just feels “extra right” somehow.
Will let you know how it goes. 🙂

Very good news.
I’ve been a bad online buddy, only dropping in now and then and blaming it all on my work schedule. Really though, it is a tough haul right now and I can’t turn any work down ’cause I need every cent. I’m not busy 24/7 though and I should really pay more attention to my friends. Here it is 11:30 at night and I have to get up in 7 hours but I need to post more than I need to sleep
Finding something to do that you love is something I’ve boasted about since I started my career and it is really, really pleasing to see that you have found something that is in no way a ‘chore’ to make a living. When I climb out of this hole and when I sort out what my company has done to my pension and when the bills don’t snowball I will help you in anyway I can (which includes a flight to give you a big bear hug). In the mean time, look at the live traffic feed and know that I still drop by now and then and am there in spirit and friendship and caring.
Give Nog a kick in the ass and a big friendly hug in that order, if you will.
Oh, and make some pamphlets to drop off at local hotels (including that little boutique place that is now to the right of your living room view.)
The unexamined life-

No, no tiny URLs just a plain old cut and paste.

And I love you. And I know you’re there, even when you’re not here.
However, you will be on extra bear hug duty next trip to make up for the long lapse in between…
Lucky for me there are lots of things I love doing, so it was just a matter of time before people started paying me to do them. I blame teh internets. 🙂
Now fingers crossed that I get a few more of these jobs so I can keep cats fed and a roof over our heads.
