Mmmmm. I’ve never had antelope but I love deer and elk … must be about the same, right? Wow, I’m hungry now.

I haven’t had venison in years, but the antelope was very tender and quite delicious.

Oops… quickly saw your answer to Beth’s query. Hmmm… what about lamb? Is it similar to that? (And FWIW, my favorite horned meat is goat. :))

No, not similar to lamb at all. More like beef, I think, and similar to other venison. I’ve only had goat in curries but I haven’t had that in ages either.
Thanks again for the head’s up on doing the wrong theme earlier (on the list “written” is up twice in a month!). I was going to go for “a good man” like you did, but couldn’t find one. 😉

But what type of antelope? I wonder if Gazelle tastes anything like Kangaroo.
Great find – even if it was hard 🙂

Nor me. I’ve never tasted goat or venison either but I have had a taste of kangaroo some years ago at The Good Food Show in Olympia and that was surprisingly tender! The Welsh Valleys are not the place to stumble across anything exotic on the menu or in the shops!!!

I have never seen antelope on the menu. Not that we have them in Australia – wild anyway!! Interesting and yes hard to find by all the above comments!! Enjoy your weekend.
