Are those as spendy there as they are here? That taller one would be over $100 for us . We handmake ours, and re-cover as necessary. They are not overly sturdy, but make for a good game of Earthquake when the cats are feeling especially peppery.
[PS, Canada says to tell you Hello.]
I can’t actually remember the prices as I’ve never got to the point of seriously considering buying one, but I don’t think they’re cheap.
These days the boys are happy enough having STAIRS. And there are two bends in the staircase which provide excellent hiding places for Loki (will have to do a video soon).
Still in Van, leaving tomorrow. Poutine on the agenda today. 🙂
Mostly I’m loafing, having a day off [I am toured out] while Bob goes out and takes more/myriad/several billion pictures. Thank jeebus for digital ‘film’.
If I had stairs, I would not need a cat tree, either. Or a diet. Well, at least the tree.
Benjamin’s “Tree” was something like $185. It was on sale for $50 because it was “broken”. I figured that I could probably fix whatever might be wrong with it but couldn’t actually see anything wrong with it. When I got it home and put it up, it wasn’t broken at all… The only thing actually “wrong” with it, and not because it was broken, was that when you twisted the adjustable part at the top, it was about 3.4 of an inch too short for the room height. I took the bottom off an old cat toy which happened to be covered in carpeting that matched the tree, stuck it on top and it fit perfectly. Oddly enough, ever since we moved into this unit, Benjamin hasn’t bothered with his tree at all.
I bought his tree when we first moved in to the previous unit, in 2000. Prices have gone up considerably. His tree, just a tall pole with 4 platform steps, would likely be about $300 now.
Oh, I need one of these for Juno very badly!

Not being a cat owner, I had to wonder about your take on trees – clever.
