Those magic words that I always like to hear after a PET scan… just as important after a test for your pet. Luna’s test results for feline leukemia came back clearly negative this time, no smudgy doubts, and so she has been given the all-clear. What a relief!
Yolanda couldn’t believe how much Luna has grown, and she was as good as gold during the blood extraction and getting her vaccination jab. Also – unlike two other cats I know! – she didn’t make a peep there and back again. She just curled up at the back of the cat carrier and, well, looked kinda terrified. But what a difference it made not having to listen to all that heart-wrenching howling.
I have to take Luna back in a month for her follow-up vaccination, and was told that Loki is over-due for a booster shot, so I might try taking them both together in the big carrier to save on stress and taxi fare. By bizarre coincidence we got the same taxi driver both times today – what are the odds?
And so it’s a happy day over here at casa az. Luna has a clean bill of health, Azar is responding well to his meds, and Loki is just, well, huge and healthy. It has occurred to me that anyone just coming across my blog recently (since Luna’s arrival) would assume that this is primary a “cat blog”. I remember the same thing happening when Loki came to live here. Kitteh pics galore. Well, it’s not my fault they’re so cute! Perhaps regular programming will resume soon, if I can remember what that is.
Good news indeed 🙂
…. and there can never be too much about kittehs….

Oh, I wouldn’t mind if you had a regular “Luna and company” section in your blog. I adore her, she is so beautiful.
I didn’t know vets suspected such serious health problems, I’m very happy to hear that she no tiene nada 🙂

That heartbreaking “why me?” expression that they can muster up. It kills me.
I’m still getting it from Fergie when he looks at the door of Torvald’s room. Patience. Alas.

That’s great news about Luna!
As Dragonqueen said, there can never be too much cat stuff. Even as more of a doggie person I look forward to the cat-related blogs.

Lol – good news.
When you can remember what soon is, or what regular programming is?

Great! Now it’s permanent playtime at Casa Az? And regular programming? Is there such a thing in a blog?

Glad to hear that she’s is good health!
May I put my hand up for an “all cats all the time” blog? If for no other purpose than to see non-stop photos of the Casa Az denizens.

It’s made such a difference getting this clean bill of health. I no longer worry about them all sharing water bowls and litter boxes, or about Loki and Luna getting all toothy & clawy together. You should see those two roughhousing together. Luna is sporting a couple of scars on her nose and yet she’ll still charge Loki when he’s sleeping and go all ninja kitten on him. It’s both adorable and frightening at the same time.

Can you email me high res version of the last one, with the cat on the chair, and the one at the table, and the computer one? And for good measure, the one below, the angry looking one? I bet I can come up with something great for each of them.

No problem, but am just going out now so will do it later today or mañana. Which is “the one at the table” pic? Count down from the top…

That third picture from the end reminded me that, cute as Luna & Azar are, my heart belongs to Loki. He really is the most gorgeous cat I’ve ever seen.

My niece has a new kitten. Jonesie was dumped on the Queensway (the major highway through Ottawa). she is named after Ripley’s cat in the movie “Aliens”. She is a very sweet tabby with light brown eyes. I forgot I had my iPhone with me and could have taken photos.
Poor RobinD, Ange’s older cat isn’t best pleased and we aren’t sure if she is actually sick or put out. vet on monday if she hasn’t eaten by then.
