That photo was taken in March 2005 when I took Peter to Cádiz for his birthday – I can’t believe it was that long ago! Then in November 2008 we went again when our friend Craig came to visit. But we haven’t been back since. And so as tomorrow is Peter’s birthday we thought it would be a good idea to go back to Cádiz. The only question is whether to splash out and spend Friday night there too, or just go for a day trip on Saturday. Still deciding…

I’m really looking forward to it. Being fairly small, and surrounded by sea on three sides, it’s a really nice place to stroll around -as well as sampling some of the local bars. It’s a great birthday present.

And now we are heading out for a fabby birthday lunch at one of P’s favourite tapas bars. Decided no to go to Cádiz today because the weather is dodgy and we couldn’t find a nice enough place for what we could afford. So a nice lunch today and then a day-trip to the seaside with tapas crawl lunch mañana.
