It’s a sure sign of spring coming in Sevilla when the orange trees lining the streets and squares are harvested. Won’t be long now before the azahar starts blossoming…
Daffodils! When I see the daffs out my heart soars and my spirit lifts. It means the lighter mornings and evenings are coming which is so much more preferable for dog-walking.

Here in L.A., if you blink you missed Spring. Right now *might* be it, though. It actually rained over the weekend, with thunder snow in the local mountains and hail on Huntington Veach. It’s 72° today.
The blossom on the dwarf magnolia in the garden is about ready to go. Always a sure sign.

The cranes are back, which is a sure sign of spring. Then there are the first crocuses, too.

Days are noticeably longer, and I don’t shiver when walking at night. The air smells more springy. And seagulls are back.
