I couldn’t take it anymore. So at 5 pm on May 15th I put on the air conditioning!!!
Exactly a month earlier than I did last year. But man! It’s been 32º inside my livingroom since the weekend. Needed some relief, and it’s perked up Azar too. I’ve been quite worried about him overheating and dehydrating. He’s barely eaten the past few days, though he’s still drinking a good amount.
So I’ll probably be bankrupt by September at this rate, but it feels so good to be comfortable in my own home.
And Azar has just got up to have a snack, so there, it’s all worth it.
How’s the weather where you are?
Today it is alternating between cloud-bursts and sun. The weekend was fairly warm, though, for the first time in awhile.

We are a month behind in terms of blossom, things that grow in gardens, and debilitating heat, compared with last year. But the drought declared by the authorities in March lasted only 6 weeks, as we had more rain in April than in the previous 300 years. (Not all 300 years, just in April). May is now cool, if not cold, windy and rainy, and although I have stopped wearing a vest, it is still touch and go whether I will not uncast a clout.

I’m glad the AC perked Azar up. The only thing I can say good about having poor circulation now, is that when it’s hot, I’m usually not… 😉

Here it’s trying to gin up a thunderstorm (sort of a cas eof meteorological dry heaves), and I think my retarded gardener spilled some gasoline on the back porch slab while he was mowing and won’t own up to it, so not only is the air roughly the texture of thin oat gruel but out my back door it smells of petrochemicals. I have sealed the house and turned on my AC as well. Pray that lightning doesn’t hit anywhere nearby.

Here in the UK midlands yesterday we had: sun; rain; storms; wind; hail; sleet. There must be a whole generation growing up not knowing what the seasons are actually supposed to be like!
