Drinking Laphroaig, which is very peaty, and smoaky, and not something you would want to drink if you were thirsty. Happy New Year!

I had my feet up on the sofa watching my new box set of Grey’s Anatomy, with the dog. It’s the only day over my 12 day holiday that I haven’t had to do anything at all, which is why I refused invitations and just stayed in. It was lovely!

First half of Wagner’s Valkyrie on DVD, the Met production I saw in the HD theaters a couple years ago with Bryn Terfel. I got hot flashes.

We took the train into Boston as a family, had yummy Vietnamese food and trekked around in the cold to see ice sculptures. It was fun! Today, we may stay inside at home all day.
