Loving my daily walks. Since I started I’ve only missed a couple due to work and other obligations, though I still rack up between 10,000 – 16,000 a day. I actually feel a bit bereft it I can’t do it, a sure sign that it’s doing some good for me. The great thing is that I can do this any time of day that I have a spare hour or so, and that I can also do this in my normal clothes (not gym clothes) which means I can do errands before or after the walk. This photo was taken after seeing my GP early evening, so I did the walk in reverse and caught a lovely sunset on my way home.
still walking…

You know how I am about all kinds of exercise but really, walking is the Holy Grail. It’s what we were designed to do. Even I don’t get that ten thousand in (because lots of my active time involves a squat rack or massage table) but I’m getting there as the hips come back. You go!

The actual walk is about 8000 steps, but by the end of the day the final count is usually much higher. And I think there’s something to be said for doing 8000 continuous steps than adding up walking to the supermarket, or even to the bathroom (like people with their smart watches do).
