Yesterday my friend Julie sent me a pic of the Feria poster from the year she was born, so of course then I had to go and look up mine. How cool are these? Every year since I don’t know when there has been an annual competition for local artists to create the official Fiestas de Primavera posters. I especially like the one on the right. Olé!

I love old posters. I really wish museums would do more exhibitions of them.

I saw one here a few years ago with Feria posters going back more than a hundred years. It was pretty special.

I find the progression/changes in styles fascinating. At the Latvian National Art Museum a few years back they had a collection of all of their special exhibition posters for about a hundred years and it’s fascinating to see how it changed over the years (including years of occupation).
