Out on a tour my clients were intrigued by the women in their beautiful black lace mantillas, which are worn on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. They were also surprised that the women love posing for pics so Rick stopped the group below to ask for a photo while I snapped the ladies lunching.🖤

Ran into this procession on my way home from a tapas tour. With record numbers of mostly maskless people crowded together in the streets I won’t be going out to see any processions on purpose this year. Dreading the indoor mask mandate being lifted next week…

It looks beautiful but it was also heartbreaking for all those who have been waiting two years to participate in their beloved Semana Santa processions. Because many of the statues taken around are priceless works of art there is no question of them being exposed to water damage. As a result it was a solemn and rather sad martes santo… weather is looking good for the rest of the week though.

DO NOT ZOOM IN. It was 28º yesterday and there was no fucking way I was going to put tights and shoes on, but there was also no fucking way I was going to go out without happy toes! So this was the fastest slap-dash pedi of all time, literally slapped on some polish five minutes before walking out the door, hence the messy outcome. But who cares, nobody should be looking that closely at my feet anyhow. And omg it felt wonderful to have free wiggly toes again and bare legs under my skirt (pic was taken when I was still in the house Pjs). How’s the weather where you are?
