Yep still doing this which means… I’m still here! As I hope to be a year from now to continue this annual message of hope (from that first time in 2009) when I boldly posted my daybook turned to January 3rd 2010 with the words “STILL HERE!” written on it. After having been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer mid-2008 and going through three major operations and chemo twice and being told my chances of survival weren’t very good. But I made it to January 2010 and I hope to keep posting this every January 3rd for some time to come. Watch this space.
I’ve been deplorably checked-out since the holidays ™ started and I don’t even DO holidays… just a combination of one thing after another and making the mistake of paying attention to the news so that it can revisit me at three a.m. (I feel your 4 a.m. wide-eyed posts on Bluesky). Walking-into-doors territory. So I’ve flaked on keeping up with things like blog posts… and this one is important.
“Still here” is important. Especially when it’s you, good friend.

I mean it’s totally a stupidstition but I always think if I stop doing this then I WILL STOP. I don’t even use that agenda any more. Oh well, just costs 6€ and then I have note paper by my desk all year.
