This new blog was inspired by my recent post about pre-prepared food. I’ve been enjoying the conversations, suggestions and recipes there so much that I thought a separate more organised blog would help keep it going. Otherwise once it slips off the front page here it will probably get lost forever in the backlog.

…since starting here on WordPress last May.
I reckon mostly lurkers from WordPress tag links and also from h2g2, since I have a link to my blog on my PS there. Still, that’s a lotta peeks. 
I find that I lurk a lot more on blogs than I used to on h2g2. Perhaps because a lot of blogs seem more like personal journal entries rather than conversation threads. How about you? Are you mostly a ‘peeping tom’ or do you usually comment on blogs that you visit?

Someone told me recently that their blog wasn’t ‘a proper blog’. And I found this a bit confusing as I thought blogs were basically what you made them – though no doubt there are some improper ones out there. 😉
Mine is simply meant as a lighthearted journal – a place to share some of my thoughts and experiences. No specific focus, just whatever comes up. And of course it’s great when people drop by and leave their comments. 🙂
So what about you guys – why did you start your blogs?

I’ve been missing the option of a ‘preview button’ here when making changes to my blog, and so I have created a new blog today called the drawing board which, as the name suggests, will be a place for me to play around with new ideas, images, etc. without mucking up this blog in the interim.
Then I thought that others might also like to use this option, so if there’s anything you’d like to try out or see ‘on the side’ before making the final changes to your blog, just let me know and I’ll put it up for you. 🙂
