This week’s Friday Foto Finder challenge is “green”…

You don’t see a lot of grass in Sevilla, which is a good thing as it’s really not suited to the climate here and takes a LOT of watering to keep it green. But here at Chinkoa Tapas they have a wall of nice green “grass” complete with giant plastic ants. I was at Chinkoa to wish my friend Ana well as she has just taken over running the place and met this very nice couple from Australia, Wendy and Nigel. As you can see, Nigel is quite camera shy.

salvador moonThis week’s Friday Foto Finder challenge is “rooftop”…

I never learn. This photo taken on last week’s night time crypt and rooftop tour at Sevilla’s second biggest church (after the Cathedral), the Iglesia del Salvador. NOT the best activity for an agoraphobic like me. Panic ensued, but I still got a few good shots.

This week’s Friday Foto Finder challenge is “seaside”…

An unusual feature in the small fishing village of Bolonia on the Costa de la Luz in Cádiz are the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia, dating from the end of the 2nd century BC, that stretch right down to the seaside. Incorporated into a national park, Bolonia has been kept safe from greedy property speculators and as such is a real treat to visit. There are a few hotels, tapas bars and beach restaurants, but it does feel nicely isolated and remains prettily unspoilt with soft sandy beaches and large dunes to the north.
