These are rather pleasantly addictive (I wonder if I can do them on my iPhone?). National Geographic online jigsaw puzzles made from outstanding reader-submitted photos. Turn up the volume so you can hear that satisfying sound when your pieces “click” into place.

Did you know that you can control the direction the WordPress snow falls with your mouse? I just noticed this today (duh). And speaking of snowflakes – don’t look Silverstar! – here is an oldie-but-goodie pastime. Sautéed sprouts with pancetta & pine nuts.
Don’t these look fabulous? (click on image to enlarge) They were prepared by the lovely and talented Wandering Coyote as part of a sumptuous solstice feast. You can check out the entire dinner menu on Retorte , WC’s blog of culinery delights (warning: do not go there when hungry).
For those of you who (like Nog) would rather stick hot pins in your eyes than eat a sprout, knock yourselves out with these…

What the hell is going on with Lexulous?
There’s a notice that changes are being made, but if so, then why not just shut down for a few hours? Right now I’ve got a game with B’Elana in which she has a different looking board than I do. And in other games I’m not getting the right amount added to my score – a 20 point word gave me 10 points and I only got 25 for a 35 point word. Plus there is one game in which I have 8 tiles. WTF?
May I suggest to my Lexulous pals that we wait until all of these changes have been made and then start new games? Boy, I hope they have this fixed by the weekend, since I won’t be going to Málaga…
