Cute, huh?
I bought this last year to transfer files from the old desktop to the laptop – decided to spend a bit more on the charity Oxfam one (also cos I liked the colour). Since then it’s become very useful for collecting music from friends for my iPod.
Today I remembered that one of my students still had my memory stick from a few weeks ago (I’d left it there to get filled up just before I got sick) and so Nog stopped by on his way home from class to pick it up. And … wow! This guy is a musician and has a couple of shops here (percussion instruments and guitars) and he also has the most amazing CD and MP3 collection I’ve ever seen. And so the very eclectic 2 GB music mix I got today is just the tip of the iceberg.
It also gave me a little project to do this morning (synchronizing my iPod). I mean, there’s only so much reading and DVD watching a girl can do . . .

There was talk of duct-taping packets to her 4-year-old daughter to elude customs and we’ve also got code names now. It’s been awhile since I’ve had RL girlfriends – I’d forgotten how fun it could be. Especially little things like sending each other silly emails and having a laugh over a glass or two of wine. I’m so glad I went to that lunch!
