Today’s Photohunter theme is “walking”.
It occurred to me the other day that almost all my footwear is red. This is the selection that I spied while sitting up in bed having coffee – I think all that’s missing from my “collection” is one pair of black sandals and a pair of black shoes.
Must be that red footwear makes for happier walking.

Today’s Photohunter theme is “protection”.
Yep, we’re back to cats today.
Three photos showing various types of protection.
All pre-digital and so they’re pretty grainy.
Above we see a very young Sunny with his very protective mother Lua, just before their relationship totally changed and Lua went back to being the crankiest beyotch on four paws. She’d had about a six-week respite after the birth of her kittens during which time she became the most amazingly lovingest mother in the world. But once this period was over there were no more warm cuddly moments like this one and so you can imagine my concern a year and a half later when I brought Azar home. He was about five months old and I had no idea how the other two would respond to him. Well, you can clearly see Lua’s response by the evil look in her eyes below …

I am reminded of the striking purple robes worn by the nazarenos of the La O Brotherhood during Semana Santa. Here is one depicted on a new bottle recycle bin here in Sevilla.
