Pink wouldn’t have been my candle colour of choice, but then I got sung Happy Birthday to in Portuguese and was given a complimentary bottle of cava, so what the hell. This was the end of a perfect birthday lunch, and I am now too stuffed to say any more but to thank my friends who joined me today. And also to the Vineria San Telmo for such a fabulous feast. It was all lovely. Off to lie down now… 🙂

Got some lovely loot for Christmas and also an early birthday present, both from the lovely Sledpress. Always a surprise and always a thrill to open. Since I live with a “humbug” I’ve learned not to ever expect presents at home, so it’s extra special when something arrives at my door like this. Thanks Sled. xx

I took this photo of Morcilla this morning … it’s a bit blurry because she wouldn’t keep still and kept trying to climb the curtains. So she is one year old today but still very much a kitten. You can see how long she is, though she’s still small compared to the other two. But it’s hard to imagine her as small as this now! Also can’t believe that I almost called her Smudge.
And it would have been Azar’s 19th birthday today. But if I still had Azar I wouldn’t have taken in Morcilla. That’s life. Well, if I am lucky I will have as many happy years with Morcilla as I had with Azar. She has really helped heal my heart. Happy birthday little girl!

Yay! The package has arrived!
I had been given fair warning by the lovely Sledpress that this specially pre-ordered item would be arriving after my birthday, so to prepare I rewatched Season 2 on the way to Barcelona and back. And now I am about to close up shop for the day, make a wee snack, pour a glass of wine, and ENJOY. Gracias amiga! xx
