One of my problems with taking a siesta (which I almost never do) is feeling groggy afterwards. Morcilla does not have this problem. She goes from fast asleep to wide-eyed and alert in a split second.

Whenever I come home from a trip I can’t imagine how I ever managed to leave these guys. Everyone was so happy to see me – even Luna! Now that it’s the end of August and “back to school” time, I don’t think I’ll be travelling again for awhile, except may the occasional day trip. Of course, you never know…

Walking around Triana I spotted this little family in front of what looked to be an abandoned home (or one that has been closed up for the summer). Mom, the cute calico on the left, was barely bigger than her kittens. And her five little ones just melted my heart. Luckily they were behind a locked gate because I was sorely tempted to take that tiny black one home. I think Morcilla would love to have a kitten of her own…
