These were my first few minutes of having Smudge on my lap, and she just charmed the heck out of me. The other three kittens don’t seem as aware of their surroundings, but Smudge is not only interested in what’s going on, she also clicked that I am the Big Cat around here and has done some serious flirting. I’m smitten.

But I also really like the orange boy. Here both Smudge and Canela get a rude awakening…

This whole selection process is not getting any easier. Here are the wee beasties having a feed on Peter’s lap. I think it’s still between the ginger-ninja and smudge. But the two tabbies are both very cute too. I dunno. Seriously. I do not know. Pablo is going out of town next weekend and I think I’m going to bring Pitu and her kittehs over here for a few days, just to get used to them and see who is who. They are so tiny for their age though… also taking them to the vet this week for a check-up. What do you guys think?

belly rubbing slave
After a long Sunday afternoon of serious tapas & wine indulgence, visiting London foodie friend Nicola came back to casa az for – what else? – more wine. It was then and there that Loki turned this unsuspecting “non-cat person” into his belly-rubbing slave. The remotes are for when he wants to control us from a distance. Wouldn’t want him to have to get up…

some things never change
An eensy Loki on the left at the old casa az (was he ever that small??) and a pic of the big orange galoot this morning. What can I say? He still has a penchant for doing “curtain calls”. The main thing that has changed is the state of the curtains. This is the third set I’ve bought since that first photo and you can see they are quite chewed to bits. Lucky they are cheap IKEA curtains and I don’t mind giving Loke a fresh pair to play with every year.
