Sent to me by Mudhooks in an email …
The following are my answers to the questionnaire, and I have tagged Teuchter, spacecadette, and dragonqueen …
- Were you named after anyone? Not that I know of, but my middle name (Marie) is the same as my mother’s middle name.
- Do you like your handwriting? Yes, when I take the time to write neatly. I’m told I have very pretty handwriting.
- What is your favourite lunch meat? lomo al jerez
- Do you have kids? Nope, just two cats (and Nog).

- If you were another person would you be friends with you? Yes, most definitely.
- Do you use sarcasm a lot? As if!
- Do you still have your tonsils? No.
- Would you bungee jump? Are you nuts?
- What is your favourite cereal? Bran flakes.
- Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? The only shoes I own with laces are my trainers – so, no.
- Do you think you are strong? When I have to be.
- What is your favourite ice cream? Vanilla – the real stuff
- What is the first thing you notice about people? Their general appearance, posture, etc, and then their eyes.
- Red or pink? RED!
- What is your least favourite thing about yourself? Low self-esteem
- Who do you miss the most? Lua
- What colour pants and shoes are you wearing? Black sweat trousers and red slippers.
- What was the last thing you ate? Huevos rancheros with garlicky fried potatoes.
- What are you listening to right now? The hum of humanity in the street below my balconies, people out chatting and having tapas.
- If you were a crayon, what colour would you be? Emerald green.
- Favourite smells? Orange blossoms, fresh bread, frying garlic, that sunshine-on-skin smell, a freshly showered Nog…
- Who was the last person you talked to on the phone? My friend Donna in Toronto.
- Do you like the person who sent this to you? Yes, I like her very much indeed!

- Hair colour? Boring brown with some wimpy red highlights. I usually dye it deep chestnut cos I like that colour better (and these days it also covers up those pesky white hairs).
- Eye colour? Hazel, mostly green.
- Do you wear contacts? No way – sticking things in my eyes is not something I’d readily do.
- Favourite food? Popcorn, cheese, bread … too many to write down.
- Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings – if only because scary movies either bore me or REALLY scare me.
- Last movie you watched? John Sayles’ Silver City (wonderful!) on dvd – at the cinema it was Running With Scissors (ick)
- What colour shirt are you wearing? Red cotton sweater.
- Summer or winter? Summer!!!
- Hugs or kisses? Yes please!
- Favourite dessert? I don’t really like desserts much, but a proper New York style cheesecake in lieu of lunch works for me
- What book are you reading? Just started reading Emma (or perhaps re-reading it). Also have a novel in Spanish on the go (La Sombra del Viento) and am planning to reread Robertson Davies’ Fifth Business this week.
- What is on your mouse pad? I have a groovy-cool optic mouse that lights up red and purple – don’t need a mouse pad.
- What did you watch on TV last night? Another episode of House (last week I’d have answered – ‘nothing, as usual’)
- What is your favourite sound? The sea, cats purring, blackbirds singing in the dead of night …

- Rolling Stones or Beatles? Beatles and Early Stones
- What is the furthest you have been away from home? Spain, I guess, though I now consider it my home.
- Do you have a special talent? Annoying and intimidating people, apparently… ๐
- Where were you born? Winnipeg, Canada

Hi Az.
Thinking about you and Nog. I love you and he as Goddess and Adam. Brilliant. If you have a moment to spare from Caza Az, which I hope is a rip-roaring (not seam-ripping) success, email and catch up.
Loss of fluff,

Lovely to hear from you Mr Fluffy! But no need to stick in any old webpage link, only a name and email address are required to post comments.
Are you still thinking of calling and making me swoon with your totally delicious Dublin accent whilst Nog sits all jealous-like on the sofa?
Nog is just saying he can’t wait. Um, I think he’s being sarcastic? ๐

Winterpeg! I’ve heard it’s a great city. I’ve never been.

I haven’t been to Winterpeg for a long time, Laverne. I lived in Toronto for about 10 years before leaving for England (slight detour on my way to Spain) just over 16 years ago.
I was back once to visit, but mostly saw the insides of a couple of houses and bars in the three days I was there. Oh, and one trip to A MALL and a ‘family-style’ restaurant that served meals that were twice as big as your head (and you know what they say…).
But I do remember Winnipeg as having a strong sense of community and, back when I was a teenager/young adult there it was full of musicians and artists and what-have-you’s, making it quite an interesting place (at least, back then) … except for it being WAY TOO FUCKING COLD for about 8 months of the year.
Not to mention mosquitos the size of sparrows.
